- ASAP: NHSC funding extension discussions are happening now as part of negotiations on a topline Fiscal Year 2025 spending bill. Contact your legislators NOW to ensure NHSC funding remains a priority. Congress must pass a funding bill before the deadline to avoid a partial government shutdown, and negotiations may include NHSC funding extensions.

2. Schedule a visit to your health center with your legislators during the upcoming March recess (March 17-21) to show them the importance of the NHSC and urge them to prioritize NHSC funding, which expires on March 31.
