History

ACU’s membership network began in 1996, founded by participants and alumni of the National Health Service Corps, and in decades since, we have expanded to become a national voice and resource not only to the NHSC but also to the broader healthcare workforce. Today, ACU unites primary care associations, state health departments, and other organizations in nearly every U.S. state. Learn about our 26-year history.
