Partners & Coalitions

ACU works with a number of partners and coalitions to strengthen its mission of improving the health of America’s underserved populations in addition to enhancing the development and support of the health care clinicians serving these unique populations. Find out more about our partners below or learn more about our policy and advocacy priorities.

Coalition for Health Funding is the oldest and largest nonprofit alliance working to preserve and strengthen public health investments in the best interest of all Americans. The Coalition represent more than 100 million patients and consumers, health providers, professionals, and researchers. Since 1970, the Coalition has advocated for increased investment in the National Institutes of Health, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, the Health Resources and Services Administration, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, the Agency for Healthcare Research and Quality, the Food and Drug Administration, and the Indian Health Service, the Administration for Community Living, among others.

Partnership for Medicaid consists of 18 national organizations dedicated to the following goals:  to ensure budget reconciliation does the least amount of harm possible to the Medicaid program and to work with the Medicaid Commission and members of Congress towards long-term reforms to make Medicaid better for the low-income, vulnerable populations it serves. In bi-monthly meetings, the Partnership discusses ideas for reform proposals, shares “intelligence” about the work Congress is doing, and ensures that our various member constituencies are represented.

Trust for America’s Health is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to saving lives by protecting the health of every community and working to make disease prevention a national priority.

Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs supports state maternal and child health programs and provides national leadership on issues affecting women and children.
