For half a century, the National Health Service Corps (NHSC) has helped reduce health workforce shortages and ensure that all Americans have access to quality primary care services. The program began as a part of the Emergency Health Plan Act of 1970, to bring qualified providers to Health Professional Shortage Areas (HPSAs), and since its inception, the NHSC has an alumni of over 50,000 providers who have cared for millions of patients in underserved communities.

In honor of 50 years of service, the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved (ACU) will be hosting a Gala to celebrate the National Health Service Corps. The event is set to take place on Monday, August 3, 2020 at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel in Washington, DC in conjunction with the ACU 2020 Annual Conference. A special rate is available for Conference attendees who would like to attend the Gala. We hope that you will join us in celebrating 50 years of the National Health Service Corps!
