Webinar: Advancing the Quintuple Aim through Lifestyle Medicine within FQHC/CHCs
August 21 | 2:00 pm – 3:30 pm
Join the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved and the American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) for a webinar exploring the vital role of lifestyle medicine in advancing care and health equity at health centers. The American College of Lifestyle Medicine (ACLM) established the Health Equity Achieved through Lifestyle Medicine (HEAL) Initiative to address health disparities through lifestyle medicine solutions. It’s no secret that communities of color and individuals living in rural communities are disproportionately impacted by lifestyle-related chronic diseases. In addition, these unique populations are more likely to experience nutrition insecurity and other social determinants of health (SDoH) that impede their ability to lead healthy lives.
Health centers help increase access to vital primary care by reducing SDoH. To support health centers and develop a nationwide lifestyle medicine-trained workforce within health centers, ACLM made a $46 million commitment to the White House Conference on Hunger, Health and Nutrition and established the ACLM National Training Initiative (NTI). Through the program, ACLM covers training and certification for one primary care provider at each of the nation’s 1,400 FQHCs.
