Our Mission
About Us
The Association of Clinicians for the Underserved is a uniquely transdisciplinary membership organization striving to establish a robust, effective workforce to help transform communities to increase access to quality health care for all. To support clinicians and organizations caring for medically underserved communities, we provide professional education, training and technical assistance, clinical tools, and more.

ACU leads advocacy, clinical, operational and other areas of excellence to develop and support clinicians and the healthcare workforce caring for America’s underserved communities. Learn about our impact.
History
ACU’s membership network began in 1996, founded by participants and alumni of the National Health Service Corps, and in decades since, we have expanded to become a national voice and resource not only to the NHSC but also to the broader healthcare workforce. Today, ACU unites primary care associations, state health departments, and other organizations in nearly every U.S. state in our shared work. Learn about our advocacy.
