As you know, Congress is now considering significant cuts to Medicaid which would have a profoundly harmful impact on patients, healthcare professionals, and safety-net institutions. We need your help to let Congress know that this legislation must not move forward!

Tomorrow, the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved (ACU) will ask YOU to call your Senators and Representative to inform them of how devastating these proposed Medicaid cuts would be to our patients, providers, and health centers. This day of advocacy is a powerful opportunity to uplift our voices to protect Medicaid and the communities who rely upon it for access to vital care.

How Do I Prepare?

ACU is joining countless health centers, primary care associations, and advocates in this advocacy, including our national partners at Advocates for Community Health (ACH). We invite you to utilize ACH’s helpful hotline instructions and script to prepare for your calls.

What Should I Do?

All that you need to do to take action Wednesday is make the time to utilize the hotline (1-877-224-2015) to make three calls using the instructions: one to each of your Senators, and another to your Representative. You can do this all at once using the hotline.

The message is simple: tell your Senators and Representatives that the changes to Medicaid proposed in the House-passed Budget Reconciliation Bill would be devastating to your health center, its patients, and your whole community. Ask them to do everything possible to STOP this bill from moving forward.
