In a year of tremendous challenges and uncertainty, our clinicians and community health centers have persevered in their commitment to a shared vision—that no matter the challenge, no matter the obstacle, care must continue. And for nearly 34 million CHC patients, our healthcare workforce has enabled just that.

But they can’t do it alone. Whether community health workers or nurse practitioners, physicians or counselors, our healthcare professionals need care themselves. For nearly 30 years, the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved (ACU) has striven to ensure support for our workforce with training, fellowship, and advocacy.

And as continued uncertainty, challenges, and glimmers of opportunity persist for the foreseeable future for our network, our commitment to service and support remains unwavering. We’re asking for your support, too, to help ACU continue offering a professional home for our community and a safe harbor in the midst of storms.

Please consider making a tax-deductible donation to support us in caring for those who make care possible for others. As 2025 comes to a close, your gift to ACU will help us continue uniting, training, and advocating for all those working to advance our shared mission.

What does ACU mean to our members? Watch as Dr. Felix L. Nuñez MD, MPH, explains.

Your Support Makes Possible:

  • New and expanded programs to support clinicians in training and in practice, as well as to aid organizations in enhancing their workforces, creating career pathways, and retaining the staff that make our work possible
  • Nonpartisan advocacy to strengthen and streamline the National Health Service Corps to ensure this vital program can continue to make care possible for nearly 18 million people in underserved communities across the U.S.
  • Learning and networking opportunities for clinicians, from scholarships to help behavioral health clinicians attend our Leadership Forum to mentoring connections at our Conference and beyond
