ACU’s STAR² Center team is proud to partner with other HRSA-funded training and technical assistance partners to develop and deliver The Social Determinants of Health Academy. The SDOH Academy is a series of virtual trainings to help staff from health centers, health center controlled networks, and primary care associations develop, implement, and sustain SDOH interventions in their clinics and communities.

The 2020 SDOH Academy Learning Collaboratives will run from February through June and cover a variety of topics including: (1) humanize enabling services data; (2) build a workforce to care for sexual and gender minority patients; (3) reduce disparities through community partnerships; and (4) create equitable emergency and disaster preparedness. These topics reflect the four SDOH core competencies developed by SDOH Academy faculty in 2019 to guide SDOH training and technical assistance.

The ACU STAR² Center team will host sessions addressing the SDOH core competency: Fostering a Health Care Workforce Able to Address Current and Emerging Needs.
