National Rural Health Day is Thursday, November 17. Rural communities are all too often medically underserved, and provider shortages, limited service sites, and other factors often hinder patients’ access to care. Health centers, look-alikes, and free clinics play vital roles in helping their communities overcome these barriers, and the Association of Clinicians for the Underserved is honored to support your work both tomorrow and throughout the year.
This year’s theme is “Advancing Behavioral Health Equity in Rural Communities.” Explore the Rural Health Day Agenda, and see how the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) are highlighting innovative ways rural communities address behavioral health challenges and expand access to behavioral health care services for those who need them the most.
