ACU is Honored to Welcome Carole Johnson as a Keynote Speaker at Our 2023 Conference

The Association of Clinicians for the Underserved is excited to welcome HRSA Administrator Carole Johnson as a keynote speaker at our 2023 Conference, “Transformation: Elevating Care, Clinicians, & Communities,” in Washington, D.C., on July 23-26.

A national public health leader, Johnson joined HRSA from the White House COVID-19 Response Team and previously served as Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Human Services, where she oversaw significant expansions of Medicaid coverage and benefits, and as Domestic Policy Council Public Health Lead in the Obama Administration, where she played pivotal roles in Ebola and Zika responses and the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Under Johnson’s leadership, the Department also substantially increased child care rates for the first time in a decade, expanded food assistance benefits, and created an Office of New Americans to support the state’s diverse communities.

Johnson joins an esteemed group of keynote speakers, including LaShyra Nolen, Jim Macrae, Luis Padilla, and Jessica Neely, at our CME-accredited ACU Conference offering crucial trainings for clinicians, administrators, and advocates alike in Washington, D.C. Featuring three unique tracks as well as exciting general sessions and keynotes, the event will offer more than 20 educational workshops, keynote addresses, and more.
