National Health Service Corps 50th Anniversary Gala

ACU Welcomes HRSA Administrator Carole Johnson as a Keynote Speaker at Our NHSC 50th Anniversary Gala

The Association of Clinicians for the Underserved is honored to welcome Carole Johnson, Administrator of the Health Resources and Services Administration, as a keynote speaker at our National Health Service Corps 50th Anniversary Gala on August 1.

A national public health leader, Johnson joined HRSA from the White House COVID-19 Response Team and previously served as Commissioner of the New Jersey Department of Human Services, where she oversaw significant expansions of Medicaid coverage and benefits, and as Domestic Policy Council Public Health Lead in the Obama Administration, where she played pivotal roles in Ebola and Zika responses and the implementation of the Affordable Care Act. Under Johnson’s leadership, the Department also substantially increased child care rates for the first time in a decade, expanded food assistance benefits, and created an Office of New Americans to support the state’s diverse communities.

Administrator Johnson joins Eric Redman, a former Congressional staffer and author whose work helped establish the NHSC, as a keynote speaker at this singular night of festivities and ceremonies complementing our 2022 Conference, “Resilience & Transformation in Care.”  Our conference takes place in-person in Washington, D.C. and online, and will feature over 20 workshops, exciting general sessions and keynotes, networking opportunities, engaging poster sessions, and much more.
