OUR MISSION
To improve the health of America’s underserved populations and to enhance the development and support of the clinicians who serve them.
ACU is a uniquely transdisciplinary membership network uniting clinicians, advocates, and organizations in the shared mission to improve health equity for the underserved. We provide professional education, training, technical assistance, and clinical tools and programs to thousands of clinicians and organizations every year.
Policy
We are the leading voice for the National Health Service Corps and a vital advocate for millions of patients living in underserved communities.
Practice
The ACU works to achieve health equity for the underserved through professional education, training, TA, clinical tools, and more.
Workforce
We work to build and sustain a robust health center workforce with resources, trainings, and technical assistance for health centers, PCAs, and more.
Policy
ACU’s mission is two-fold: to improve the health of underserved communities and to develop and support those clinicians who choose to serve them.
Practice
ACU supports clinicians and improving health care for the underserved by raising the quality of care, expanding access to care, and developing culturally competent and adequately resourced health care workforce.
Workforce
ACU focuses on that mission through the recruitment and retention of clinicians into medically underserved areas across the country.
