Michael MankAt the June 2015 meeting, Michael Mank was elected to the ACU Board of Directors as one of two Health Professionals in Training. His term runs for one year and he joins Justin D’Addario of Stony Brook University School of Medicine as the two Health Professionals in Training on the Board.

Michael Mank is a 4th year medical student at the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine (CCOM) at Midwestern University and a National Health Service Corps (NHSC) Scholar. Prior to medical school, he worked in Quality and Patient Safety for Catholic Health in Buffalo, NY. He plans to become a family medicine physician and practice in an underserved area.

At CCOM, Michael is a member of the Steering Committee at Community Health Clinic, the largest free clinic in Illinois. He has also been inducted into the osteopathic medicine honors fraternity, Sigma Sigma Phi, which is a group united in preserving the highest class of medical scholastic excellence and community service. Additionally, he has been inducted in the Gold Humanism Honor Society in recognition of his excellence in humanistic clinical care, leadership, compassion, and dedication to service.
