Asthma can be such a chronic illness for which the cost associated with treatment may become a barrier to compliance with the treatment plan.

The Coach’s Asthma Clipboard Program: Winning With Asthma, The Minnesota Department of Health Asthma Program and the Utah Department of Health Asthma Program: This resource for coaches will teach them about asthma and help athletes keep their asthma well-controlled so they can play sports. Participants from ‘official’ member states will receive a specialized clipboard, educational booklet, and other items in addition to the certificate of completion. There are no educational credits provided.

Asthma Guideline Implementation Steps & Tools (GIST), Asthma Initiative of Michigan: A provider education and practice redesign program that helps primary care clinicians use the guidelines in their everyday care of patients with asthma.

American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) Continuing Education Center: The AANP provides a searchable list of continuing education programs on asthma, allergy, and other topics.

Community Health Worker Home Visits for Asthma, King County, Washington: Includes self-management resources and program protocols to help individuals control and manage asthma and reduce exposure to indoor asthma triggers.
