ACU works with a number of partnerships and organizations to strengthen its mission of improving the health of America’s underserved populations in addition to enhancing the development and support of the health care clinicians serving these unique populations.
Partnership for Medicaid consists of 18 national organizations dedicated to the following goals: to ensure budget reconciliation does the least amount of harm possible to the Medicaid program and to work with the Medicaid Commission and members of Congress towards long-term reforms to make Medicaid better for the low-income, vulnerable populations it serves. In bi-monthly meetings, the Partnership discusses ideas for reform proposals, shares “intelligence” about the work Congress is doing, and ensures that our various member constituencies are represented.
Language Access Coalition Participants in this effort include health care provider organizations, advocates, language companies, interpreters and interpreter organizations, and accrediting organizations working to improve policies and funding for access to health care for individuals with limited English proficiency (LEP).
Working Group on Health Disparities and Health Reform In 2009, a Working Group coalesced to ensure that health reform legislation must address health inequities and ensure that health and health care disparities reduction and elimination is prioritized. This Working Group brings together members from the coalitions, groups, and organizations involved in issues related to health equity and produces principles, position papers, and issue briefs.

Trust for America’s Health is a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to saving lives by protecting the health of every community and working to make disease prevention a national priority.
Association of Maternal and Child Health Programs supports state maternal and child health programs and provides national leadership on issues affecting women and children.
National Health Equity Coalition is a policy and advocacy network committed to the elimination of racial and ethnic health disparities and the achievement of health equity. The coalition seeks opportunities to engage policy makers and leverage public policy to address the root causes of health disparities, including lack of access to health care, socioeconomic inequality and harmful living conditions
STOP Obesity Alliance aims to help reverse America’s rising trend in obesity and related conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, and certain cancers.
